Our review

Precision

The Cherry MW 8 Advanced claims to operate even on glass thanks to its Pixart PAW3805 laser sensor. We can confirm its good behavior on quite varied transparent and shiny surfaces that we have tried. The maximum operating speed is halved (at 51 cm / s), according to what we observe in the characteristics of the sensor, but for office use, this is still more than enough. The acceleration is also limited to 5g, against 10g on a conventional opaque surface, but only players will find fault. In any case, it is not recommended to use such a mouse for fast games.

Conclusion

Well finished, pleasant to handle and capable of operating on a large number of surfaces, the MW 8 Advanced by Cherry is a very convincing little nomad mouse. If we avoid using it for video games, nomad workers will find their account, unless they lean towards the dreaded MX Anywhere 2S from Logitech, with a very similar size and with a few additional functions.
