Commissioner Rex, a different policeman, and his different partners

ETTORE BASSI Davide Rivera replaces Commissioner Fabbri as team leader and becomes Rex's new partner.

TOBIAS MORETTI He is a policeman of the homicide brigade, about thirty-something years old. Divorced. Childless. Little is known about his past, except that he comes from Viennese slums, his life developed close to crime, but he managed to overcome it and become a policeman thanks to his friend and teacher Max Koch. Before becoming a policeman, he was a truck driver. At first he lived in an apartment in the center of Vienna and then moved to the outskirts of a house with a garden for Rex. Moser is killed by one of the murderers he was persecuting.

GEDEON BURKHARD Inherits Moser's post when he was killed. He is a handsome young inspector with a pleasant character, quite the opposite of Richard. His father is a lawyer and his mother a doctor. He entered the police against the will of his parents whom he ignored. He was on a patrol car until Argo, his dog, died when a bomb exploded, which left him a physical sequel, he was deaf in one ear and one emotional, the pain of his dog's death. This changes when he meets Rex, Argo left him in immense pain but with Rex's help everything changes. He has great success with the girls.

KASPAR CAPPARONI He is curator and the new Italian Rex controller in Rome. Unfortunately he will die killed by the explosion of a trap car, prepared by a mob boss.

ALEXANDER PSCHILL He is the substitute for Alexander (after his inexplicable disappearance) remaining as Chief of the Brigade. He is distracted and undecided in the actions he undertakes, thus having more than one setback. He lives in a house under renovation. Initially, his relationship with Rex is distant, doubting whether he is in his care or not.

FRANCESCO ARCA It will be the new partner of Rex for the new season of 2013.
