The Epson EcoTank ET-2756, ink tank printer, is a clone of the Epson EcoTank ET-3700, with a smaller screen and a lower purchase price. Which makes it a pretty interesting domestic model!

Positive points

Exceptionally low cost per page (€ 0.006).

Compact printer.

Good printing speeds (even if a notch behind the laser models).

Convenient automatic two-sided printing, useful for saving paper.

Easy printing from smartphones via the Epson app.

The paper is loaded from the back of the printer (some prefer).

Bad points

Its very small screen lacks readability.

Too much noise pollution.

Slightly disappointing print quality.

No front USB port, just an SD card port.

No paper loading case, loading is done from the back.

Our review

The essential to remember

The Epson EcoTank ET-2756 is a color printer without cartridges, but with tanks. It is comparable to the Epson EcoTank ET-3700 tested by us, but is distinguished by the absence of a paper loading case - which goes through the back - and by the much smaller screen located on the front. This screen proves to be a little too small in our opinion and not well enough defined. Reading it is complex, especially when you have to guess which button is drawn and which one is invited to click to continue working.

For the rest, it is identical in all respects to the ET-3700 and retains its main quality: its very low cost per page. Thus, color prints cost only 0.6 euro cents (€ 0.006) of ink per page and 0.2 cents (€ 0.002) for monochrome prints. This therefore makes it a printer suitable for the most intensive uses, especially since its printing speeds are very fast (up to 19 pages per minute printed in monochrome and 12 pages per minute in color). Unfortunately, its print quality is a bit disappointing for graphics and photos.

Epson also offers a package to buy with the printer called "EcoTank Unlimited Printing", which allows for 39.99 € to enjoy unlimited ink for two years. It will still be necessary to print more than 3,000 pages per year in color for this offer to be interesting.

Filling the four ink tanks is easy. The ink bottles delivered with the printer can print up to 14,000 pages in monochrome or 11,200 pages in color according to Epson.

Conclusion

Like the Epson EcoTank ET-3700 that we tested, the Epson EcoTank ET-2756 is one of the best multifunction printers on the market, thanks to its high print speeds and very low cost per page. reduced. We regret however its screen really too small and the fact that its print quality is not flawless, especially in photo.
